The total volume of assets under management reached 237.106 billion euros at the end of the month, according to Inverco.
The assets of the mutual funds increased in January by 1,689 million euros, bringing the total volume managed at the end of the month to 237.106 million euros, 0.7% more.
According to data published today by the Association of Collective Investment Institutions and Pension Funds (Inverco), from the lows of December 2012, mutual funds have experienced an equity increase of about 115,000 million euros.
Mutual funds have recorded positive net subscriptions for the eleventh consecutive month of 1,178 million.
In only three of the last 49 months, unitholders divested their net positions in mutual funds, while in the remaining 46 months the funds recorded positive net inflows, according to Inverco data, which added that in fact, in this Period, more than 98,353 million euros of savings of new participants became part of the assets of investment funds.
The number of participants in national mutual funds registered a new increase of 118,124, bringing the total figure above 8.4 million, which means reaching pre-crisis levels. Since the December 2012 low, the number of fund participants has grown 87.5%.
Inverco said that mutual funds showed a slight revaluation, closing January with a positive return of 0.2%, which allows a year-on-year yield of 3.1%.
